Samsung has finally mastered it after 5 generations, and the best part is that there is now less danger of dust or other debris getting inside. Yet, I continue to look forward to the day when these foldable devices will have a certification for legitimate dust resistance.

Yet, battery life is still comparable to that of the Fold 4, and while optimisation is excellent, a larger battery would have undoubtedly improved durability.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5's operating system is OneUI 5.1.1 on top of Android 13. The ability to utilise the range of gestures, multitasking tools, and other features makes OneUI on a Samsung foldable phone stand out from OneUI on a standard Samsung phone. For instance, you can run up to three programmes simultaneously in a split-screen window. This time, all three windows are active simultaneously, allowing you to interact with all three windows simultaneously without having to wait for the other two to become passively active. 1) Faster charging rates are required
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5's charging speeds are capped at 25W, and this is one area where I really expected at least 45W charging, similar to the flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra. Sadly, the Galaxy Z Fold 5's charging speed is still 25W, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which means it takes a long time to fully recharge. We could have done so much better here with faster charging rates, but here we are!
2) Noticeable resemblance to the Fold 4
For those who currently own a Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 doesn't really justify an upgrade, even though this isn't a reason to avoid buying the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. As you can see, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are nearly identical smartphones save from a new hinge, an improved CPU, and a brighter internal display. And while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is certainly more advanced than the Galaxy Z Fold 4, as we've already stated, it doesn't justify a step up from the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
That being said, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is a significant upgrade if you're looking to replace a Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, or even the original Fold. I say this while considering every aspect of the phone!
